It’s somewhat rude, I suppose, to laugh at the poor fashions, hairstyles, glasses and mustaches of days gone by, but it’s only because we’ve all been there. So let’s all cringe together.
I never would have expected it myself, going into this, but now that I take a cold hard look, I actually think the ’90s fashions are the worst!
the 90s was bad, for sure, but really, fashion is just terrible all around. I was watching Spiderman 2 on cable the other day, and was shocked at the amount of bare midriffs I saw. I don’t remember thinking they were as noticeable the first time around, but I actually don’t see many people wearing those types of shirts/sweaters nowadays. Whatever is “popular” for a moment is almost always the worst. Hence the “best dressed” people we always see are in clothes that have looked the same since the 1800s.
Classy! I actually have a bunch of early fifties Brooks Brothers catalogs sitting around here somewhere…
